...e porta a compimento la storia. Sulle soglie di un mondo senza più vita e senza più speranza, dove non c’è più erba sotto i piedi, ma ciotoli dolorosi, l’uomo si rende conto di aver combattuto fin dall’inizio, inutilmente, contro se stesso. 

Cede l’ultimo respiro e chinando il capo, muore.

THE SHOWDOWN

...and completes the story. On thresholds of a lifeless world e no more hope, where it is no longer there grass underfoot, but painful pebbles, the man realizes that he has fought from the beginning, uselessly, against himself. 

He gives his last breath and stooping the head, dies.
